Sigma starring Sundeep Kishan and directed by Jason Sanjay gets a fresh theatrical release date, adding excitement around the highly anticipated debut.
Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut Sigma has a new release date. The film stars Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. It will now hit theatres on October 2, 2026.
The film was earlier scheduled to release on July 31. However, the release plans were later changed. The makers have now confirmed the new date for the film.
Sigma is produced by Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner. The film marks Jason Sanjay’s first outing as a director. It is said to be a commercial entertainer with action, comedy and heist elements.
Sundeep Kishan leads the cast as the protagonist. Faria Abdullah plays the female lead. The supporting cast includes Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sheela Rajkumar, Magalakshmi, Kamalesh and Kiran Konda.
The technical team features some popular names from the industry. Thaman S has composed the music for the film. Krishnan Vasant is the cinematographer, while Praveen KL handles the editing. Venkat and Selva have choreographed the action sequences.
The film has been shot across several locations. The shooting took place in Chennai, Thailand, Thalakona and Salem. The makers had announced the completion of the film in December 2025.
Sigma is said to revolve around a treasure-hunt and heist-based storyline. The film is expected to combine action and adventure with comedy. This genre mix has created interest around Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut.
With its new release date, Sigma will now arrive during the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. The film is scheduled to release on October 2, while Vijay Sethupathi’s Baththa and the Ram-Nivin Pauly-Soori starrer Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai are also lined up around the same period.
