Japan based on real life events of Tiruvarur Murugan?

According to the latest reports, Karthi starrer Japan is said to be a fictional adaptation from the life of Tiruvarur Murugan, who was arrested in one of the famous cases in TN in recent times. The film is said to be based on a petty thief who falls into big trouble.

Rajumurugan directs the film, which is done with a majority of its shoot and is left with only 25 days which are being canned at the EVP Film City in Chennai now. Both Ravivarman and composer GV Prakash have reportedly excelled with their work in the film.
