Jailer 2 Box Office: The Rajinikanth starrer nears 425 crore worldwide in 4 days!

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 continues its strong theatrical run, with the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial collecting an estimated 424.25 crore worldwide within four days of its release. The film has maintained its momentum through the opening weekend and is now approaching the 450 crore milestone, with the 500 crore mark also coming into focus.

Released worldwide on October 15, the action entertainer opened to an impressive response, collecting 59.70 crore net in India on its first day. Although the film witnessed a slight dip on Friday, with earnings of 37.10 crore, collections picked up again over the weekend. It earned 47.25 crore net on Saturday before recording 55.85 crore net on Sunday, October 18, according to Sacnilk’s estimates.

With its fourth-day performance, Jailer 2 has taken its cumulative India net collection to 199.90 crore, while its domestic gross stands at 234.25 crore. The overseas market has contributed an estimated 190 crore, taking the film’s total worldwide gross to 424.25 crore. Sunday’s domestic collection also marked an increase of around 18.2% compared with Saturday, reflecting the film’s continued draw among theatre audiences.

The film’s performance further strengthens its position among the biggest Tamil theatrical releases of 2026. Rajinikanth reprises his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, with Nelson returning to direct and Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. The sequel also features Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Vijay Sethupathi, Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty and Suraj Venjaramoodu in key roles. With its opening-weekend collections already crossing 400 crore worldwide, the film is now within reach of the 500 crore milestone as its theatrical run continues.

Adding to the film’s box-office performance, Jailer 2 has sold over 10 million tickets across BookMyShow and District combined within four days, according to the reported booking figures. BookMyShow has clocked more than 6.19 million tickets, while District has recorded over 4.5 million tickets, highlighting the substantial demand for the Rajinikanth-starrer during its opening weekend.

Meanwhile, director Nelson Dilipkumar has expressed his gratitude to audiences for the overwhelming response. Sharing his excitement over the film’s theatrical reception, he credited the enduring appeal of Rajinikanth, writing, “Theatres are going bonkers! Thalaivar magic hits different.” He also thanked viewers for their phenomenal love and support, adding that seeing audiences celebrate Jailer 2 was particularly special.
