According to industry insider channel Valai Pechu, the much-discussed reunion of cinema legends Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan is reportedly taking shape under the direction of Nelson Dilipkumar. The film, which is said to be jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) and Red Giant Movies, is being touted as the farewell venture of Superstar Rajinikanth – marking the end of an unparalleled cinematic journey spanning over four decades.
As per reports, the project will commence filming only in 2027, with Nelson seeking nearly a year to complete the script. The collaboration between the two iconic actors, who last shared screen space in the 1980s, has already generated massive excitement among fans and the industry alike. If confirmed, this reunion will undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema history.
In the meantime, Rajinikanth is expected to team up with director Sundar C for another major venture, also produced by RKFI.
