Silambarasan (STR) was initially gearing up for a highly anticipated collaboration with acclaimed director Vetrimaaran, sparking great excitement among fans. The film, reportedly set in the Vada Chennai universe with STR playing a gangster, had even completed a promo shoot featuring Nelson Dilipkumar. However, the project has faced delays, leaving its future uncertain and fans waiting for updates.
Amid these setbacks, STR has made a strategic decision about his upcoming projects. While his collaboration with director Ramkumar Balakrishnan, known for his National Award-winning debut Parking, was launched and prepped earlier, the shoot was postponed due to script revisions. After a brief focus on the Vetrimaaran film, STR is now expected to return to Ramkumar’s film, with production slated to begin soon.
The yet untitled STR – Ramkumar film (STR49) promises a nostalgic treat for fans, featuring a college backdrop and music by Sai Abhyankar. Additionally, actor Santhanam is set to play a significant role, adding to the anticipation.
As the Vetrimaaran project remains on hold, excitement builds around STR’s renewed focus on Ramkumar Balakrishnan’s promising film.
