Kamal Haasan is reportedly set to join hands with filmmaker SU Arun Kumar for an exciting new project. While an official announcement is yet to be made, industry buzz suggests that the collaboration is progressing and could mark the actor’s next major outing after his ongoing commitments.

According to reports, the film will be directed by SU Arun Kumar, known for films such as Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, Sethupathi, Chithha and Veera Dheera Sooran. The project is said to stay true to the director’s signature style, focusing on an emotionally driven narrative centred around a 50-year-old protagonist. The makers are also expected to shoot extensively in real locations, giving the film a grounded and realistic visual appeal.

If the project materialises, it will mark the first collaboration between Kamal Haasan and SU Arun Kumar, a combination that has already generated excitement among cinema lovers. Arun Kumar has earned appreciation for his realistic storytelling and character-driven films, making the reported partnership an intriguing one.

At the same time, Kamal Haasan is also actively working on Anbarivu, another ambitious project that is expected to showcase the actor in a completely different space. Unlike the rumoured film with Arun Kumar, Anbarivu is said to be a high-octane action entertainer mounted on a grand scale.

The film is reportedly being developed with a strong technical vision, with the makers exploring the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance certain aspects of the production. Kamal Haasan is believed to be closely supervising the project, reflecting his continued interest in embracing new technology and pushing cinematic boundaries.

Reports further suggest that the releases of Anbarivu and the proposed SU Arun Kumar film could be spaced roughly six months apart, offering Kamal Haasan fans two contrasting theatrical experiences within a short period.

Apart from these projects, Kamal Haasan is also part of Kalki 2, where he reprises his role as the powerful antagonist opposite Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. With multiple high-profile films in different genres under development, the veteran actor appears to have one of the busiest and most diverse line-ups in Indian cinema.

Although the collaboration with SU Arun Kumar is yet to receive official confirmation, the reported project has already become one of the most anticipated combinations, thanks to the filmmaker’s distinctive storytelling style and Kamal Haasan’s willingness to explore fresh and challenging characters.
