Im Game release date: Dulquer Salmaan’s action entertainer postponed to September 3

Dulquer Salmaan and Kayadu Lohar starrer I’m Game, directed by Nahas Hidhayath, gets a new release date with a wider theatrical rollout.

Dulquer Salmaan’s much-awaited Im Game has been postponed from its previously announced August 20 release date. The film will now arrive in theatres worldwide on September 3, 2026, with the makers planning a wider theatrical rollout.

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, the film marks Dulquer Salmaan’s return to Malayalam cinema after King of Kotha. The actor also backs the project under his Wayfarer Films banner. I’m Game features Kayadu Lohar, Antony Varghese, Mysskin, Vinay Forrt and other prominent actors in key roles.

The decision to move the release comes as the makers prepare for a broader theatrical plan. The film is now expected to release across five languages, allowing the team to target audiences beyond the Malayalam market.

The earlier August 20 date placed I’m Game within the Onam release window. With the new September 3 date, the film will now step away from the crowded festive-season release schedule and get a separate theatrical window.

I’m Game is touted as an action entertainer and has generated considerable expectations, particularly with Dulquer headlining the project and Nahas Hidhayath, who previously directed RDX, at the helm.

The film’s technical team includes Jakes Bejoy as the music composer, while cinematography is handled by Nimish Ravi and Jimshi Khalid. The film has been mounted as a large-scale entertainer with Dulquer in a prominent action-oriented role.

With the release now locked for September 3, I’m Game is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical arrival in a wider format. Dulquer Salmaan fans can now look forward to the film hitting the big screen after the release date shift.
