Im Game pre-release event: Dulquer Salmaan, Samyuktha and Antony Varghese share exciting insights
At the Im Game pre-release event in Chennai, Dulquer Salmaan, Samyuktha and Antony Varghese opened up about their characters, experiences and the film’s promising commercial appeal.
The Im Game team recently interacted with the Chennai media ahead of the film’s theatrical release. Dulquer Salmaan, Samyuktha Viswanathan and Antony Varghese shared their experiences of working on the highly anticipated action entertainer.
Samyuktha said she feels truly blessed to be part of Im Game. She described her character as very different and said the role touched her heart. The actress also added that she has always believed cinema should create genuine emotions.
She credited director Nahas Hidhayath and Dulquer Salmaan for making her immediately say yes to the project. Samyuktha also recalled her Hyderabad schedule as a valuable learning experience. She thanked the entire team and said the long working journey helped them become like one family.
Antony Varghese, meanwhile, spoke about making his first appearance at an event in Chennai. He described himself as the newcomer among the team and asked Tamil audiences for their support. He also invited audiences to watch Im Game in theatres on September 3.
The actor shared a fun anecdote about working with director Nahas Hidhayath. After completing scenes, Antony would ask the director whether his performance was good. Nahas would reportedly appreciate his work but remind him to approach the character differently for Im Game.
Antony also expressed his gratitude towards Dulquer Salmaan. He praised Dulquer not only as the producer but also as a co-artist and friend.
Dulquer Salmaan said he always enjoys visiting Chennai and interacting with the press. He believes Im Game will almost feel like a straight Tamil film because of its Tamil actors and dialogues.
The actor also revealed that Im Game is the biggest production made by his production company so far. He added that the trailer only offers a glimpse of the film, with several surprises waiting for audiences.
Dulquer praised Kathir’s performance and called Samyuktha’s work a game-changing performance. He also singled out Antony Varghese, expressing confidence that Tamil audiences will celebrate his role in the film. He further described Mysskin as the guru of the project.
According to Dulquer, Im Game combines comedy, romance, mystery, suspense, action, cricket and gambling. With Jakes Bejoy’s music adding to the film’s energy, he described it as a complete commercial entertainer.
The trailer has already created curiosity around Dulquer’s stylish gambler character and the film’s action-packed world. Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, Im Game promises a mix of entertainment, mystery and high-energy action. The film also features Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin and Kathir in important roles.
