Hero: Director Mithran battles plagiarism charges with strong statements!
Post the release of Hero, director Mithran was levied with plagiarism charges by writer-director Bakkiyaraj and the writer’s union. Mithran and his team of writers in Sabarimuthu, Bakkiyaraj and Pon Parthiban met the press on Tuesday, explaining their situation.
“We brought in many stories from newspaper stories and real incidents. They are speaking only on the basis of the synopsis. We worked for 446 days, and I have an entire audio recording of the process. It is my filmmaking Bible. Media and the news is my only inspiration for the film,” said the director. “I have sent my synopsis, have sent two letters and attended two meetings as well. But they still said that we didn’t respond for 20 days.”
