As per industry sources, the project has officially gone on floors under the direction of Ashwath Marimuthu. The team has reportedly begun filming key portions, while Rajinikanth is expected to join the shoot in an upcoming schedule.
Sources suggest that the superstar’s portions could begin with a song sequence choreographed by Sandy master. While the makers are yet to make an official announcement on the director, the commencement of shooting marks a significant step forward for this anticipated film.
Interestingly, Thalaivar 173 has witnessed multiple developments behind the scenes before reaching its current stage. The project was initially linked to director Sundar C and later to Cibi Chakaravarthy. However, it is now Ashwath Marimuthu, known for delivering successful films such as Oh My Kadavule and Dragon, who is reportedly helming the venture.
