GV Prakash on Thalapathy Vijay’s dropped projects and Ajith Kumar’s Gladiators

The composer revealed why Vijay’s collaborations with Vetrimaaran and Sudha Kongara did not materialise and teased a major surprise in Ajith’s Gladiators.

Composer-actor GV Prakash Kumar has shared interesting details about two shelved projects that were once planned with Thalapathy Vijay, while also opening up about his upcoming collaboration with Ajith Kumar in Gladiators.

In a recent interview, GV Prakash revealed that Vijay was initially supposed to collaborate with directors Vetrimaaran and Sudha Kongara, with him onboard as the composer. However, both filmmakers reportedly requested a year to develop their respective scripts. As a result, Vijay’s dates were eventually allotted to Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

According to GV Prakash, the script developed by Sudha Kongara for Vijay was particularly impressive. He revealed that the same story was later narrated to Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. However, the project has not materialized with either actor so far.

Meanwhile, GV Prakash also opened up about his upcoming film Gladiators (racing documentary), which features Ajith Kumar. He described the project as a different film and revealed that it will feature special songs designed to complement its emotional and motivational elements.

The composer further teased that the Gladiators trailer will arrive soon and promised a major surprise. He added that the trailer is expected to leave audiences with a “WOW” moment.

On the professional front, GV Prakash’s next release is Immortal, which is gearing up for a theatrical release on September 4. The film is expected to mark another interesting addition to his acting lineup.
