The team behind Housemates, an upcoming horror-thriller with a heartwarming twist, came together for a lively pre-release press meet ahead of its release on August 1st.
Director Tamizharasan (Lubber Pandhu director) expressed his deep connection to Sivakarthikeyan Productions, recalling his beginnings as an assistant director during Kanaa. “This banner was built to support meaningful cinema,” he said, emphasizing the significance of their support.
Acclaimed horror-thriller director Ajay Gnanamuthu praised Housemates, stating, “It has hit potential – the scale of its success lies in how the media carries it forward.” He highlighted director Raja Vel’s journey from associate director last year to helming his own film now.
Producer Vijay Prakash of Playsmith Studios credited Creative Producer SP Sakthivel for streamlining the process and assembling a cohesive team. He also expressed gratitude to Sivakarthikeyan Productions for backing the project, saying their decision to present the film after watching it reflects their strong belief in its quality. He thanked producer Arun Viswa for being the key connector between the teams and bringing SK Productions on board, calling it a rare alignment of vision and support in the industry.
Lead actor Darshan described the film as a “feel-good family entertainer,” while Kaali Venkat, who plays a key role, promised surprises and shared Sivakarthikeyan’s personal appreciation of the film.
