Coolie crosses $20M+ in overseas box office as it enters week 4
Hamsini Entertainment confirms the overseas milestone as Rajinikanth - Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie enters its fourth week in cinemas worldwide.
As Superstar Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s much-anticipated film Coolie steps into its fourth week of theatrical run, overseas distributor Hamsini Entertainment has officially announced that the film has crossed $20 million (₹175 crore approx.) in gross collections from international markets alone.
The announcement has added to the ongoing celebrations for SSRK fans, who have rallied behind the film since its release. With the arrival of recent Onam releases and the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan starrer Madharaasi on the horizon, Coolie is gradually approaching the close of its theatrical journey.
Meanwhile, director Lokesh Kanagaraj is preparing to make his acting debut in an upcoming film directed by Arun Matheswaran. Following the completion of that project, he is expected to begin work on the much talked about Rajinikanth – Kamal Haasan reunion film, a landmark collaboration set to happen after 40 years. While an official announcement is still awaited, sources indicate the project is moving forward as planned.
