Bobby Simha talks about his preparation for Jigarthanda

Bobby Simha’s performance as ‘Assault’ Sethu in  Jigarthanda has made heads turn in Tamil cinema. He talks about his preparation for the role that earned him wide critical acclaim. “The character brims with dynamism. I could see how much scope the role had for an actor. It’s a rare role, the like of which I may never get in my life again,” says Simha.

Simha had met few real-life gangsters in Madurai to correct his body language, especially his walking style since he used to walk very fast. “In the 60 days of shooting, I refused to talk much on the sets. I tried to remain Sethu even when we were not shooting. It’s hard to switch on and off otherwise,” reveals Simha. He also decided not to sign any film until he completes Jigarthanda.
