Atlee offers insight into ambitious Allu Arjun project and clarifies future collaborations
Director Atlee opens up about intense preparations for his ambitious Allu Arjun project while addressing speculation and future collaboration possibilities with Shah Rukh Khan.

Atlee is currently immersed in preparing his much anticipated pan-Indian venture with Telugu Superstar Allu Arjun, tentatively titled AA22xA6, marking his first foray into Telugu cinema. Speaking to media, Atlee revealed that the team is working tirelessly – often through “sleepless nights” to craft a project that pushes creative boundaries and delivers a cinematic experience that audiences will “taste to the maximum.”
With AA22xA6 slated for a 2027 theatrical release, speculation has grown around its scale and cast. Deepika Padukone, who previously collaborated with Atlee in Jawan, has signed on as the female lead, a creative choice the director refers to as having “lucky charm” status. Her involvement, alongside Allu Arjun, has only heightened expectations for the film’s narrative depth and visual spectacle.
In a separate conversation, Atlee addressed rumors surrounding his potential involvement in Don 3 and the possibility of directing a Jawan sequel with Shah Rukh Khan. While acknowledging his strong rapport with the Bollywood icon following Jawan’s blockbuster success, he clarified that Jawan 2 is not slated to be his immediate next project. He confirmed that although future collaborations with Shah Rukh Khan remain likely, current reports linking him to Don 3 are unfounded.
As Atlee balances bold new creative ventures, industry observers and fans alike are keenly awaiting further updates on both his pan-Indian spectacle and prospective cross industry partnerships.
