Arjun Das and KS Ravikumar join hands for Ranjit Jeyakodi’s new film

Arjun Das and KS Ravikumar are set to headline a new Tamil film directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi. The makers have officially announced the project, which has now commenced production. The film is currently untitled, with further details expected to be revealed in the coming days.

Ranjit Jeyakodi is writing and directing the upcoming project, marking his return to filmmaking after Michael, which was released in 2023. The director made his debut with Puriyatha Puthir in 2017 and later helmed Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum in 2019.

The new film is produced by Vijay MP under the Silver Tree Studios banner, along with Parveen, who is backing the project under the Pop Entertainment banner. The makers are yet to reveal the title and details about the film’s storyline.

The project features a sizeable supporting cast, including Preethi Pagadala, Yogi Babu, Bala Saravanan, Jagan Krishnan, Mona Bedre, Ashwini Nambiar, Saravanan, VJ Nikki and Dhanyaa Pallath.

Sean Roldan has been roped in as the music composer for the film, with Mohan Rajan handling the lyrics. The technical crew includes cinematographer Kavin Raj, art director Udhaya Kumar C and action director Dinesh Kasi.

The film brings together an interesting combination of performers, with Arjun Das taking on the lead role alongside veteran actor-filmmaker KS Ravikumar. More information about their characters and the film’s genre is expected to be announced by the team.

Arjun Das was last seen in Once More and has several projects lined up. His upcoming releases include #Love, co-starring Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Super Hero. #Love is scheduled to premiere on October 2.

With production already underway, the yet-to-be-titled film marks Ranjit Jeyakodi’s latest directorial venture and adds another promising project to Arjun Das’ upcoming lineup.
