Music sensation Anirudh recently shared his heartfelt reflections on Thalapathy Vijay’s announcement that he will be stepping away from films. Speaking to the media ahead of the Madharaasi audio/trailer launch event, Anirudh expressed both admiration and emotion over Thalapathy Vijay’s decision to pursue a political career.
During the interaction, Anirudh addressed questions about his past collaborations with Thalapathy Vijay, notably for the blockbuster Leo and the actor’s farewell film Jana Nayagan. “The tracks from Leo were released individually, which is why we haven’t put out the full OST yet. But we plan to compile and release it soon,” he explained. He also noted that the music for Jana Nayagan has turned out exceptionally well.
Looking ahead, Anirudh shared that once Madharaasi hits screens, his focus will fully shift to shaping the musical journey of Jana Nayagan.
The most emotional moment came when Anirudh spoke about Vijay’s departure from the silver screen. “All the songs we worked on together received immense love. But beyond the music, it was Vijay sir’s on-screen presence that gave them true value. We are really going to miss him in films,” he said with genuine sentiment.
