Amma Kanakku & Nil Battey Sannata to release simultaneously on Apr 22nd

Dhanush’s next production Amma Kanakku is aiming for release on April 22nd, a week after Vijay’s Theri hits the screens. Interestingly, director-producer Aanand L Rai, who is co-producing both Hindi and Tamil versions with Eros International and Wunderbar Films respectively, has reportedly convinced Dhanush to release both versions simultaneously.

While Amma Kanakku stars Amala Paul and yesteryear heartthrob Revathy in important roles, the Hindi version Nil Battey Sannata, which was wrapped up long back before the Tamil version, features Swara Bhaskar and Ratna Pathak Shah. Both versions have been helmed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, whose credits include years of experience in ad film-making. Amma Kannaku has music composed by Ilaiyaraja.
