Allu Arjun to play four distinct characters in Atlee’s next?

AA22 x A6, the upcoming collaboration between Allu Arjun and director Atlee, is already making waves as one of the most anticipated Indian films in recent memory. With a star-studded ensemble featuring Deepika Padukone, Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur, the film promises a visual spectacle on a global scale.

Adding to the buzz, Bollywood Hungama has exclusively reported that Allu Arjun will portray four distinct characters in the film – a first in his career. “Allu is playing the entire family tree: grandfather, father, and two sons,” a source shared. “This marks his debut in a multiple-role film.”

Interestingly, the film didn’t begin with this concept. Initially, Atlee had planned for Allu to take on a double role, while casting other actors for the remaining parts. However, it was Allu Arjun himself who proposed playing all four characters. “Atlee was hesitant at first, but after a series of look tests, he was convinced. The transformation worked so well that they decided to move ahead with Allu in all four roles,” the source added.

Set against a high-concept narrative and powered by Atlee’s flair for mass entertainers, the film is expected to offer audiences four unique avatars of Allu Arjun – all in one ticket. With such an ambitious setup, AA22 x A6 is shaping up to be a landmark film in both the actor’s and director’s careers.

Currently being shot in Mumbai, AA22 x A6 is slated for a theatrical release in 2027.
