Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film Daredevil is gearing up to enter production, with shooting expected to commence in September. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film is said to be designed as a complete contrast to their previous outing Good Bad Ugly, promising an out-and-out commercial entertainer aimed at a wide range of audiences.
Speaking about Daredevil, Adhik Ravichandran stressed that the film will not attempt to replicate the flavour of Good Bad Ugly. According to the filmmaker, the upcoming project will explore a completely different space and is being planned as an entertainer for everyone, including families, children and audiences across age groups.
The director also opened up about his bond with Ajith Kumar and recalled meeting the actor during one of the toughest phases of his life. Ajith’s words of encouragement reportedly gave Adhik the confidence to continue pursuing his vision. The filmmaker later went on to make Mark Antony, which became an important milestone in his career.
Meanwhile, the production plans for Daredevil are taking shape. The film is expected to begin with a six-day schedule in September before moving into a more extensive shooting phase from October. The team is targeting December 2026 to complete the principal photography, with Ajith Kumar’s portions also expected to be wrapped by then.
According to reports, the makers are planning to complete the film in approximately 75 shooting days. Following the completion of the main shoot, image shoots and patchwork portions are expected to be carried out in January 2027. This schedule is aimed at keeping the project on track for its subsequent production and post-production work.
