Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film Dare Devil is all set to begin shooting on November 12. The team will start with a major schedule in Hyderabad. This schedule will cover nearly 50 per cent of the film. After completing the Hyderabad portions, the team will move to Bangkok and Malaysia for the remaining shoots.
Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan plays an important role in Daredevil. Speaking to Chennai Times, Ajith’s manager Suresh Chandra shared details about his casting. He revealed that Unni Mukundan will play a powerful character. Several actors were considered for the role. However, Ajith Kumar personally preferred Unni Mukundan. He believes the actor has the potential to make a strong impact across the country.
Meanwhile, Sreeleela is also part of the film. Interestingly, the actress waited for nearly one-and-a-half years to join the project. Suresh Chandra appreciated her patience and commitment. He explained that her character required strong dancing skills and a vibrant screen presence. He also clarified that Sreeleela is not playing Ajith Kumar’s daughter. However, the team has not yet revealed whether she will be paired opposite the actor.
The film’s casting is still progressing. The team is currently in talks with a prominent actor for the main villain’s role. Meanwhile, music composer Anirudh Ravichander has already completed a couple of songs for the film. His association adds further interest to the project. With a promising cast and schedules across multiple countries, Daredevil is shaping up to be an exciting addition to Ajith Kumar’s lineup.
In another development, Ajith Kumar recently hosted a private get-together with several members of the film industry. The gathering included directors who have previously worked with the actor. Raj Kapoor, Saran, AR Murugadoss, H Vinoth, Venkat Prabhu, Siva and AL Vijay attended the event. Actor and filmmaker SJ Suryah was also invited. However, he could not make it due to his commitments in Pondicherry.
The formal launch of Dare Devil took place yesterday, ahead of its November 12 shooting schedule. The team is expected to share more updates in the coming weeks. With Ajith Kumar leading the cast alongside Unni Mukundan, Sreeleela, Prabhu and Parthiban, the film has already generated considerable interest.
