Ajith Kumar receives the Gentleman Driver of the Year 2025 award in Venice, celebrating his racing passion, team’s endurance successes, and a milestone year in motorsport.

Ajith Kumar has been honored with the Gentleman Driver of the Year 2025 award, presented by the Philippe Charriol Motorsport Group in Venice, Italy. His wife, Shalini, shared the emotional moment on Instagram, expressing pride in standing beside him and celebrating the tribute in memory of the late racing icon Philippe Charriol.
Ajith, who has been pouring his energy into motorsport through his own team, Ajith Kumar Racing, reflected deeply on the significance of the award. He spoke fondly of Charriol’s legacy, calling him an inspiration known for his kindness.
This recognition comes amid a landmark year for Ajith’s racing career: his team has already bagged multiple podium finishes in demanding endurance races, including 24-hour and 12-hour formats. His dedication to racing has been long known, but he had reportedly tied up his film commitments including Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly to focus fully on his motorsport ambitions.
As he basks in this honor, Ajith is also gearing up for his next big film project, AK64, directed by Adhik Ravichandran which is reportedly said to be bankrolled by a Mumbai based production house.
