Thala 55 shooting kick-starts in Chennai

The untitled project of Ajith Kumar, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon is at it again. The team was spotted shooting on the roads of Chennai today. Arun Vijay was seen wearing a black shirt and blue jean and was looking fit in his attire. The shooting commenced around 8.30 AM today on the streets of Gopalapuram, a location known for his proximity to the DMK supremo Kalaignar Karunanidhi. Two hours later, the team was again spotted on the lanes of Tiruvanmiyur with Thala sporting a clean shaven look and black-dyed hair.

Though the official press release from the producer’s desk stated that the shooting for the film will commence on April 9th, it is surprising to see the team take up the job a day before. The film is produced by AM Ratnam for Sri Satya Sai Movies. The film also features Anuskha Shetty and Trisha in the lead roles. Recently, Arvind Swami brushed aside the rumors that he plays one of the villains in the film. Now, the team has zeroed in on actor Aadhi of Eeram to play baddie, say sources. An official announcement on the cast and crew of the film is awaited.
