Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s next directorial announced under KRG Productions

Backed by KRG Productions, Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s new directorial is set to be a multilingual project, with further details on cast and genre expected to be announced soon.

Filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth has officially announced her next project as a director, marking a significant step forward in her cinematic journey. The new film will be produced by Kannan Ravi under the KRG Productions banner, with Deepak Ravi attached as co-producer.

The production house took to social media to share the announcement, unveiling that the film is being developed as Production No. 9 and is envisioned as a grand multi-lingual entertainer. The project is expected to be released across multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, signalling an ambitious pan-Indian outreach.

In an official statement, the KRG Productions team expressed pride and enthusiasm about the collaboration. They highlighted their belief in cinema as a collective art form built on shared vision and trust, and described the upcoming thriller as a project that aims to deliver a powerful and engaging cinematic experience for audiences of all backgrounds.

Though details such as the film’s title, cast, and release schedule are still under wraps, the announcement marks an important milestone in Aishwarya’s career. She made her directorial debut with the psychological drama 3 (2012), followed by works like Vai Raja Vai (2015) and Lal Salaam (2024), the latter featuring her father Rajinikanth in an extended cameo.

The filmmaker has also explored documentary filmmaking with Cinema Veeran (2017), which focused on stunt performers in the Tamil film industry.
