AGS 28 titled Blast: Arjun, Abhirami, Preity lead action-packed entertainer

AGS Entertainment’s upcoming project, tentatively known as AGS 28, has now been officially titled Blast, with the makers unveiling a striking first-look poster featuring Arjun Sarja, Abhirami, and Preity Mukhundhan in lead roles.

Directed by debutant Subash K Raj, the film began production in August 2025 and has already completed its shoot earlier this year. The project marks the director’s first feature after assisting filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan, and is positioned as a commercial entertainer with a strong emotional core.

The newly released title look leans into a stylized, anime-inspired aesthetic, showcasing the lead trio in action-ready avatars. Arjun is seen wielding a katana, while Abhirami holds a sledgehammer, hinting at a high-energy narrative. The visual suggests a united front, with the characters seemingly preparing to confront a common adversary, setting the tone for a dynamic and action-driven film.

While the makers have kept detailed plot elements under wraps, Blast is described as a wholesome family entertainer. However, earlier indications about the storyline suggest a unique premise revolving around a family trained to protect the vulnerable, who eventually become a formidable force themselves. This blend of action and emotional stakes is expected to be a key highlight of the film.

The ensemble cast also includes Vivek Prasanna, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pawan, Dileepan, Vinod Sagar, and Bala Hasan in supporting roles, adding further depth to the narrative. On the technical front, the film features music by Ravi Basrur, marking his Tamil debut, with cinematography by Arun Radhakrishnan and editing by Pradeep E Ragav.

Backed by AGS Entertainment, the film is also set to stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. With an intriguing title reveal and a visually compelling first look, Blast has now firmly positioned itself as one of the notable upcoming projects from the production house.
