Aaryan is personal, powerful, and ready for the big screen, says Vishnu Vishal
At the pre-release event, the Aaryan team shared insights on the film’s emotional depth, technical strengths, and why it stands apart in the thriller genre.

Vishnu Vishal’s upcoming psychological thriller Aaryan is all set to release worldwide on October 31st in both Tamil and Telugu. The film, produced by Vishnu Vishal under VV Studioz, promises to be an intense, edge of the seat experience with a gripping narrative and striking performances. As the film nears its release, the team met the press for a pre-release event to share their thoughts and excitement.
Director Praveen K, who helms the project, recalled a moment from years ago when he and director Manu Anand created a list of underrated actors destined for stardom – Vishnu Vishal topped that list. “It’s divine intervention that both Manu and I made our debut with him. Vishnu is one of the most hardworking and sincere actors in the industry,” he said.
Manu Anand, director of FIR, added that Aaryan came into being after Vishnu expressed his interest in exploring crime-based stories during their previous collaboration. He contributed to the screenplay of Aaryan as a friend and colleague, and praised the film for its many twists, calling it a thrilling experience. “Vishnu has done superbly, but Selva sir has absolutely stolen the show,” he remarked.
Editor San Lokesh, reuniting with Vishnu Vishal after Ratsasan, said the film breaks the stereotypes usually associated with thrillers. He lauded the production quality and shared his admiration for Selvaraghavan’s role, calling it both shocking and relatable.
Music director Ghibran noted the complexity of the subject and praised director Praveen’s clarity in storytelling. “This is going to be a perfect theatrical experience,” he said.
Actress Shraddha Srinath, who also stars in the film, expressed her pride in being part of Aaryan. She credited Vishnu Vishal for his attention to detail as a producer and predicted that VV Studioz would continue delivering unique and impactful content.
Selvaraghavan, who plays a key role in the film, shared his surprise and admiration for Vishnu and his team, praising their relentless passion and commitment to cinema.
Vishnu Vishal, speaking both as actor and producer, made it clear that while Aaryan may draw comparisons to Ratsasan, it is a very different film with its own identity. He hinted at an exciting new element in the film that audiences will discover in theatres. He also expressed deep respect for Selvaraghavan, calling it an honor to have him on board. “I’ve always followed his work and admired the contributions he and Dhanush sir have made to cinema. I’d be happy if I could even reach 5-10% of what they’ve achieved,” he said.
Also in a recent interview, Vishnu Vishal revealed the deeply personal connection he has with the film, sharing that Aaryan is named after his son. This emotional significance, he said, makes the project all the more special to him. Vishnu emphasized how closely he holds the film to his heart, and expressed strong confidence in its impact, both as a compelling cinematic experience and as a meaningful milestone in his journey as an actor and producer.
With strong creative voices behind it and a gripping premise, Aaryan is shaping up to be a significant addition to the thriller genre in Tamil and Telugu cinema.
