Aamir Khan confirms his collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj remains active, stating the narration is progressing and the project continues forward.

Aamir Khan has officially clarified the status of his long-speculated collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, putting an end to the rumors that surfaced after the release of Coolie. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that the project is very much alive. “Lokesh Kanagaraj and I were supposed to meet last month in Mumbai. The narration is going on, and yes, the project is in the pipeline as of now. My intention and emotion is to deliver one film a year, and I’m trying my best,” Aamir stated, offering a reassuring update to fans and industry circles.
This confirmation effectively dismisses the reports claiming that the Aamir – Lokesh film had been shelved. The speculation grew stronger in recent weeks after buzz suggested that Lokesh Kanagaraj might collaborate with Allu Arjun for his next venture. Aamir’s latest remarks, however, reaffirm that the filmmaker remains committed to his planned lineup, signalling that an official announcement regarding the project may not be far off.
Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj is focused on his acting debut as the lead in Arun Matheswaran’s upcoming film DC. The project, backed by Sun Pictures, has drawn significant attention due to its unique casting choice and the director’s rising popularity. The shoot for DC is progressing at a brisk pace and is expected to be completed by January or early February, after which Lokesh is anticipated to shift his full attention back to his directorial commitments.
With momentum building on multiple fronts, Lokesh Kanagaraj appears to be in one of the busiest and most exciting phases of his career. Aamir Khan’s positive update only adds to the anticipation, setting the stage for a major announcement from the director’s camp soon.
