Dayangaram teaser out; VJ Siddhu announces Pongal 2027 release

VJ Siddhu is gearing up for his directorial debut with Dayangaram, which is scheduled to arrive in theatres during Pongal 2027. The makers have unveiled the film’s official teaser, along with the festive release announcement. Siddhu has taken on multiple responsibilities for the project, as he has written, directed and played the lead role.

The teaser introduces VJ Siddhu as a college student and offers glimpses of his character’s experiences with friendship, life and love. The promotional video hints at a youthful entertainer packed with comedy and energetic moments. Dude Vicky, who is known for his content creation, has also worked on the film as its creative director.

Dayangaram features an ensemble cast, including Natty Natraj, Nithin Sathya, WhatsApp Mani, Harshath Khan, Ilavarasu, Kaali Venkat, Adhitya Kathir and Sushmita Shetty. Ismath Banu, Mallesh Kannan, Chutti Aravind, Nakkalities Chella, Deepa, Pasanga Sivakumar and OAK Sundar are also part of the film.

Ishari K Ganesh is producing the project under the Vels Film International banner, with Kushmitha Ganesh serving as co-producer. The technical team includes Siddhu Kumar as the music composer, Dinesh Krishnan B as the cinematographer and Pradeep E Raghav as the editor. Vinoth Rajkumar N has handled the art direction, while Vicky is in charge of the stunt choreography.

The film began shooting in October 2025 and completed its production in July 2026. It has now entered the final stages ahead of its theatrical release. VJ Siddhu, who gained popularity through his YouTube channels Black Sheep and VJ Siddhu Vlogs, was previously seen in Ashwath Marimuthu’s Dragon, starring Pradeep Ranganathan.

With the teaser now out, Dayangaram has officially joined the Pongal 2027 release lineup. The film also marks an important milestone in VJ Siddhu’s career as he steps into feature film direction while playing the lead role.
