The makers of Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons have announced a major box-office milestone for the film. The family entertainer has crossed the ₹200 crore mark worldwide within 10 days of its theatrical run.
With this achievement, Vishwanath And Sons has emerged as another successful outing for Suriya at the global box office. The film has continued to attract audiences with its family-oriented storyline, performances and emotional appeal.
The latest milestone also gives Suriya a notable career record. The actor has now delivered two consecutive ₹200 crore grossers, with Karuppu and Vishwanath And Sons achieving the feat back-to-back.
Directed by Venky Atluri, Vishwanath And Sons marks the first collaboration between the filmmaker and Suriya. The film features Suriya in the role of Sanjay Vishwanath, a businessman with a strong passion for pistol shooting and an Olympic dream.
The film also stars Mamitha Baiju alongside Suriya, with Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nassar and Sunil Reddy in prominent roles. Produced by Sithara Entertainments, the film released worldwide on August 14 in Tamil and Telugu.
