Vishnu Vishal opens up on Arunraja Kamaraj project; says team has decided to part ways
Vishnu Vishal breaks his silence on the Arunraja Kamaraj project, confirming their decision to part ways following creative differences and unresolved budgeting concerns.
Actor and producer Vishnu Vishal has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding his proposed project with filmmaker Arunraja Kamaraj, confirming that the film will not be moving forward.
In a statement shared on social media, Vishnu Vishal said he felt it was important to clarify the situation after several speculations surfaced about the project over the past few days. He explained that the film was a project he had been looking forward to for nearly a year and had spent around ten months preparing for it.
Vishnu Vishal revealed that he had initially planned to begin the project after the release of Gatta Kusthi 2. However, the film eventually ran into creative differences with the director, along with budgeting concerns. He noted that budgeting has become one of the major challenges facing the film industry at present.
The actor-producer said he made several efforts to resolve the issues and take the project forward. However, despite those attempts, both sides have now decided not to proceed with the film. Vishnu Vishal acknowledged that the decision was difficult for both parties and expressed his best wishes to Arunraja Kamaraj for his future endeavours.
He also clarified that the legal processes connected to the project will take their own time to be settled. Recent reports have indicated that the disagreement surrounding the shelved project has developed into a formal dispute.
Vishnu Vishal further stated that, as an actor who also takes on the responsibility of a producer, difficult decisions sometimes have to be made. He described this as one such decision while maintaining that he remains excited about his upcoming work.
At present, the actor is focusing on the release of his upcoming film Irandu Vaanam and his brother’s film Yellow Yellow Dirty Fellow. He also revealed that he is working on another project that he described as “really exciting and unique”, with an official announcement expected soon.
The proposed collaboration between Vishnu Vishal and Arunraja Kamaraj had generated interest among Tamil cinema audiences. Arunraja Kamaraj is known for films including Kanaa and Nenjuku Needhi, while Vishnu Vishal has also been balancing acting commitments with his production ventures.
With the project now shelved, the actor-producer appears to be moving ahead with his upcoming commitments while awaiting the resolution of the legal proceedings associated with the Arunraja Kamaraj project.
