Sacred Games star Jatin Sarna to play villain in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2

Jatin Sarna joins Jailer 2 as the antagonist, facing Rajinikanth in the sequel that promises high-voltage drama and intense face-offs.

Actor Jatin Sarna has been confirmed to be playing the primary antagonist in the eagerly awaited sequel Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth. According to sources close to the production, Jatin Sarna has recently completed his portions for the film, marking a major milestone in his career. He joined the cast last August and wrapped his shoot ahead of the final stages of filming.

Known for his breakout performance in the Netflix series Sacred Games, Jatin stepping into such a pivotal antagonist role opposite Rajinikanth has stirred considerable interest among fans and industry observers. Speaking about the experience, he called the opportunity an “incredible journey” and acknowledged the intensity and definition of the character. While he noted that language was a key challenge during filming, Jatin also described how overcoming it made the experience even more fulfilling.

In addition to Jatin Sarna, Jailer 2 brings together a star-studded ensemble, including veteran performers such as Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa, Jaffer Sadiq, and Vinayakan. Reports have also linked major names like Mohanlal, Mithun Chakraborty, Shah Rukh Khan, and Vidya Balan to the project, though official confirmations from the makers are awaited.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and backed by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 follows the massive success of the 2023 original and has wrapped principal photography. The film is currently in post-production, with a theatrical release expected in June 2026.
