SA Chandrasekhar, Mamitha Baiju and Producer Lohith reflect on Thalapathy Vijay’s legacy at Jana Nayagan audio launch

Emotional tributes pour in as SA Chandrasekhar, Mamitha Baiju and producer Lohith reflect on Thalapathy Vijay’s cinematic journey, legacy and impact at the Jana Nayagan audio launch.

The Jana Nayagan audio launch witnessed several heartfelt moments as key members associated with Thalapathy Vijay took the stage to reflect on his extraordinary journey and lasting legacy in cinema.

Veteran filmmaker and Vijay’s father, SA Chandrasekhar, delivered an emotional address as he looked back on his son’s evolution in the film industry. Expressing a father’s pride, he recalled the release of Naalaiya Theerpu on December 4, 1992. He remarked that even then, it felt as though destiny had already scripted a future where, by December 2025, his son would stand tall as one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated icons. His words resonated deeply with the audience, drawing warm applause.

Actor Mamitha Baiju grew visibly emotional while speaking on stage. Standing beside Vijay, she described the moment as surreal and deeply personal. She shared that her brother is an ardent Thalapathy Vijay fan and that his films have long been a part of their family conversations, often quoted in everyday life. Fighting back tears, Mamitha expressed how much she would miss Vijay, underscoring the profound admiration and affection she holds for him.

Producer Lohith of KVN Productions offered insight into Vijay’s unparalleled market presence. Recalling a conversation with his business partner about Vijay’s strongest market, Lohith said the response was simple yet telling: All area la Thalapathy Ghilli. He described Jana Nayagan as a fitting tribute to Vijay’s enduring legacy and revealed that the film features a striking 90-second single-take shot for the final dance sequence in Thalapathy Katcheri, designed as a memorable cinematic moment celebrating the star.

Together, these reflections painted a powerful picture of Thalapathy Vijay: not just as a superstar, but as a cultural force whose journey continues to inspire colleagues, collaborators, and fans alike.

Jana Nayagan is set for a worldwide theatrical release on January 9th, while the grand audio launch will be telecast on Zee Tamil on January 4th, allowing audiences everywhere to relive a truly historic celebration.
