Official: Suriya 47 begins shooting with director Jithu Madhavan alongside Nazriya and Naslen
Suriya 47 starts filming with Jithu Madhavan directing, Nazriya and Naslen joining the cast, and debut cinematographer Unni Palode leading visuals for this anticipated project.
Suriya’s much-anticipated 47th film has officially begun shooting, marking an important new chapter for the actor as he collaborates with Mollywood director Jithu Madhavan. The project went on floors with a launch ceremony, glimpses of which were shared by Jithu’s wife, Shifina, on Instagram. The images revealed Suriya, Nazriya Fahadh, Naslen, composer Sushin Shyam, and the core technical team taking part in the pooja and shoot commencement.
The clapboard from the event confirmed that cinematographer Unni Palode, previously known for his work as an associate to leading Malayalam DOPs like Shyju Khalid, Sameer Thahir and Gireesh Gangadharan, will make his debut with this film. The project is backed by Zhagaram Studios, believed to be Suriya’s newly launched production banner.
Jithu Madhavan, who created strong waves with Aavesham and earlier Romancham, reunites with composer Sushin Shyam for their third collaboration. Reports also suggest that several crew members from Jithu’s shelved Mohanlal project have joined this film, although the makers have not verified this. Early buzz indicates that Suriya might be playing a police officer, adding to the anticipation.
The film also brings Suriya and Nazriya together, a pairing previously planned for Sudha Kongara’s shelved project that later evolved into Parasakthi. Meanwhile, Suriya is gearing up for multiple releasesL including Karuppu with Trisha and his untitled 46th film with Venky Atluri. Nazriya continues her strong presence in Malayalam cinema, and Naslen arrives fresh from the success of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.
