GV Prakash’s 100th film Parasakthi gets bigger as Yuvan Shankar Raja lends his voice for a special track, adding excitement ahead of its Pongal release.

The awaited Sivakarthikeyan starrer Parasakthi continues to create buzz as new updates emerge ahead of its grand Pongal release. Following the phenomenal success of its first single Adi Alaye, which became an instant chartbuster and has now crossed over 15 million cumulative views: the team is keeping the excitement alive with another surprise announcement.

Composer GV Prakash, for whom Parasakthi marks his milestone 100th film, revealed that the “Young Maestro” Yuvan Shankar Raja has crooned a special song for the movie. Sharing his excitement on social media, GV Prakash wrote, “The legendary @thisisysr bro sings for #Parasakthi… here we gooooo #GV100 becomes more special,” sparking immense enthusiasm among fans of both composers.

Meanwhile, the film’s post-production work is in full swing, with actor Ravi Mohan having begun dubbing for his role. Directed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi is positioned as a high-octane drama laced with strong emotional themes, which is based on real story. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, with Atharvaa and Sree Leela playing key characters, and Ravi Mohan essaying the antagonist.

Bankrolled by Aakash Baskaran under Dawn Pictures, Parasakthi marks a major milestone for Sivakarthikeyan as his 25th film and for GV Prakash as his century project. With Sudha Kongara at the helm and Yuvan joining hands vocally for GV Prakash’s special album, expectations have skyrocketed. The film is all set for a grand worldwide release on January 14th, 2026, as a festive Pongal treat for fans.
