Producers of D54, Vels Film International appeal to Dhanush’s fans for support
The makers of D54 request Dhanush’s fans to avoid leaking visuals and help maintain secrecy around the much-awaited action drama.
The production team behind the upcoming film D54, starring Dhanush, has issued a heartfelt request to the actor’s fan community. The film is being produced by Vels Film International under the aegis of Ishari K Ganesh, and is directed by Vignesh Raja (Por Thozhil fame).
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the producers wrote: “We request our ‘D’ear fans to support us by not sharing any footage from the sets of #D54. Your cooperation means everything!”
The announcement comes shortly after the filmmakers confirmed that production on the film has been completed, with a slated release window in February next year. A poster released earlier this year featured Dhanush amidst a fiery field with the tagline: “Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive.” A subsequent image released on Dhanush’s birthday showed him inside a vintage phone booth, sparking speculation of a period-setting for the film.
In addition to Dhanush, the cast of D54 includes Mamitha Baiju and Jayaram, along with Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas, KS Ravikumar, Prithvi Pandiarajan, Kushmitha and Nitin Sathyaa in key roles. Technically, the film features music by composer GV Prakash, cinematography by Theni Eswar and editing by Sreejith Sarang.
By making this public request, the filmmakers are emphasizing the importance of preserving the film’s creative integrity ahead of release, and are counting on fans to play a positive role.
