Atlee opens up about his sci-fi film with Allu Arjun: New details revealed

Director Atlee has shared new insights into his upcoming high-budget science fiction project with Allu Arjun, currently in production under the working title AA22xA6. The film, which also features Deepika Padukone in a lead role, promises a bold visual experience with international production standards.

Speaking at a recent event, Atlee described the film-making process as experimental and innovative, noting that the team is building new workflows rather than relying on tried and tested methods. “There’s no single template for a film like this,” he said, hinting at the scale and originality of the project. Collaborating with top Hollywood technicians, the team is aiming to deliver a never before seen cinematic experience.

While the plot is still under wraps, reports suggest Allu Arjun will portray four roles from the same family lineage, an ambitious setup that fans are eager to see unfold. Atlee, however, emphasized that he sees this not as a risk, but a responsibility to meet audience expectations for fresh and addictive storytelling. He credited his past successes: from Raja Rani to Jawan – to the trust and enthusiasm of moviegoers.

The film is being produced by Kalanidhi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. Talks are reportedly ongoing with several major actors including Vijay Sethupathi, Rashmika Mandanna, and Janhvi Kapoor, though official confirmations are still awaited. Sai Abhyankkar will be scoring music for this mega budgeted entertainer.
