Diesel Trailer Launch: Big cheers for Harish Kalyan and Diesel Team – Event speech highlights
Harish Kalyan’s powerful transformation and the team’s dedication received widespread praise at the Diesel trailer launch, promising an action-packed and meaningful Diwali cinematic experience.

While Diwali is when most of us light firecrackers, the Diesel team came with a warning – don’t play with Diesel this Diwali, because it’s not safe. That playful line from director Arunraja Kamaraj set the tone for the film’s grand trailer launch, where excitement, admiration, and anticipation poured in from every corner. “Harish looks super convincing as an action hero,” Arunraja said, “and I’m definitely watching this first day in theatres!”
The event turned into a celebration of the film, with several notable names from the industry taking the stage to show their support. Editor San Lokesh called Diesel a film with a strong political subject, adding that it’s a racy, engaging watch with mass appeal. He credited producer Deva for his heartful commitment in shaping Harish Kalyan’s commercial avatar on screen. The praise continued with Lubber Pandhu director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu confidently declaring that a Diwali release itself proves Harish is stepping into the mass hero league. “The trailer is packed with energy. This film will be pure entertainment for the festive crowd.”
Ramkumar of Parking fame was clearly impressed by the scale. “The budget is visible on screen. This is the kind of film we need for our audiences,” he said, giving full credit to producer Deva’s efforts. Director Mysskin, known for his sharp eye and uncompromising standards, drew a striking comparison. “After Kamal sir, Harish Kalyan is one of the most handsome actors in Tamil cinema. He’s hardworking and sincere qualities every top hero needs. In ten years, he’ll be at the top.” Mysskin also appreciated the layers Harish has taken on in the film and admired the film’s commercial vibe and massive casting.
The music of Diesel was another highlight at the event. Director Shanmugam Muthusamy shared an interesting story behind the now-viral Beer Song. “It was composed in just 30 minutes by Dhibu. He’s a musical genius, and the album reflects that with its variety.” Harish himself recalled a fun moment from the making of Dillubaru Aaja, sung by STR. “We showed the song to Simbu anna after the shoot. He loved it and asked why we showed it to him, only then did I tell him he had to sing it for us. One week later, he was in the studio recording. Today, it’s a fan-favorite, and I hope it becomes a celebration inside theatres.”
But the most powerful moments came when Harish Kalyan spoke from the heart. He recalled how producer Deva had received a call a few days before asking, “What’s the qualification for this film to release on Diwali? Is there a big hero? A big team?” Harish admitted that the question disappointed them, but his belief in the film and the audience remained unshaken. “We’re bringing a good film with an important message this Diwali. That’s what matters.”
With fire in his voice, he delivered a line that’s already doing the rounds on social media: “You can make 1000 matchsticks from one tree, but just one matchstick is enough to burn 1000 trees. So, don’t underestimate anyone.” He added, “This is a film made for the people. So many around me have taken risks because they believe in me. I truly believe Diesel will be a worthy Diwali film.”
The trailer itself, already buzzing online, shows Harish Kalyan in a powerful new light as it blends action, politics, and emotion with commercial appeal, promising a thrilling ride for festival audiences. The film’s grand visuals, intense dialogues, and Harish’s mass makeover stand out, making this one of the most talked-about Diwali releases.
Starring Harish Kalyan, Vinay, and Athulya Ravi, and directed by Shanmugam Muthusamy, Diesel is produced by Third Eye Entertrainment & SP Cinemas and features music by Dhibu Ninan Thomas. The film is all set to hit screens worldwide on October 17th, just in time to set the Diwali weekend on fire.
