Vizha is extended from short film Udhiri and the plot is very simple, tries to cocktail with a chasy romantic story with the base on love and death. 4 buddies who make their living on deaths as drummers (Thappatam dancers) and runs their lives in a small town. In a village biggie death, Sundaram (Mahendran) finds her love Malavika Menon (Rakku) at instant, who is a grand daughter of a professional mourner. Sundaram awaits for a chance to meet her again and then the story revolves with snags and revenge.
Having a vast experience right from his childhood days, Mahendran essays at ease and lived in his role. Malavika Menon has a charming look and talent pretty well exhibited in her maiden film itself. Guys comes as friends of Mahendran supported and their comedies were enjoyable at parts. James Vasanthan’s scores were apt to an extent and cinematography by Senthil Kumar excels. Special mentions to the capturing of Ennacho Edhacho song!
Vizha indeed a related title to the plot since the lead roles meeting are happening in death, which is considered to be a celebration for them. Overall, Vizha is technically sounded comparing to its narration and has nothing specify to mention than it.
