Vaibhav hopeful of ‘Mankatha’ magic in Kappal too

Vaibhav Reddy, who was last seen playing the lead role in Damaal Dumeel, is gearing up for the release of Kappal on Christmas directed by Karthik Krish, a former associate of Shankar. The film has been acquired by Shankar’s S Pictures and has received good buzz in the trade. “My role in this film is like a football where everyone wants to possess for a time yet they kick. I have played a role who has to balance friendship and love in all instances. Arjunan, Karuna, Venkat and Karthik play as my friends in this film. They could be the only friends in Tamil cinema who are determined to spoil their friend’s love”, says Vaibhav.

“In an intense shot, heroine Sonam Bajwa had to slap me but it eventually left scars on my cheek. A similar incident happened while shooting for Mankatha, I wish the same sentiment of slap and success continues in Kappal too” adds Vaibhav. Kappal will clash with Arya’s Meghamann, Vikram Prabhu’s Vellakkara Durai and Prabhu Solomon’s Kayal at the box-office.
