Vaalu, Kayal, Pisaasu, Muni 3 fight for Christmas release
The next big festival is Christmas and four Tamil films have already announced their plans to release the film for the big day. Simbu’s long-pending Vaalu, Prabhu Solomon’s romantic drama Kayal, Mysskin’s paranormal thriller Pisaasu and Raghava Lawrence’s horror-comedy Muni 3 are looking to capitalize on the festival frenzy. While Simbu confirmed that Vaalu is slated for release on December 24th, Prabhu Solomon and team are planning to release Kayal on December 26th on the tenth anniversary of Tsunami disaster.
The makers of Pisassu are also looking for a possible Christmas release if enough screens are available, says a close source. Also, Lawrence’s Muni 3 which is currently under post-production are contemplating a Christmas release to offer unlimited fun on the eve of New Year.
