Sridevi not part of Drishyam, confirms Jeetu Joseph

Much to the disappointment of Kamal Haasan fans, Jeetu Joseph, the director of Drishyam, has confirmed that Sridevi was not approached for the IPS officer role in the film. “We haven’t finalized the casting yet and Sridevi is not part of the project. As soon we finalize our cast, we’ll make the official announcement. For now, only Kamal Haasan is part of the project and Asha Sharath from the original version may join us as well,” confirms Jeetu Joseph to IANS.

Sources say the legal issues surrounding the film have been sorted out and the regular shooting will kick-start in a week or two. Ghibran composes music for Drishyam, which also marks his third consecutive collaboration with Kamal Haasan after Vishawaroopam 2 and Uttama Villain.
