Samantha on board Vijay 59?

While names like Deepika Padukone went rounds for the lead heroine role in Vijay’s upcoming film with Atlee, bankable sources close to the team confirm us that they have signed up Samantha Ruth Prabhu for one of the female leads. Amy Jackson, who recently made heads turn with her performance in Vikram- Shankar’s I, is the front-running choice for the other role. An official confirmation on Samantha is awaited from the team though.

Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, Vijay 59 marks GV Prakash’s 50th film in the industry. The film is currently under pre-production with Atlee planning to involve foreign stunt masters for this action thriller. Looks like Atlee will leave no stone unturned to make this a mega project.
