Wacky fun ride

Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Soldren is a comical script and it completely relies on the cast and their outfit, giving enough time to laugh and a very little to think. Overall, ONNPS is a fun filled and the script needed a patch for sure but very gently managed by the director with the cast.

Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Soldren is a comical script and it completely relies on the cast and their outfit, giving enough time to laugh and a very little to think. Director and Producer Arumugakumar script work has turned out to be a fun riot but the screenplay and execution put the audience to ponder a little on the logic. When a movie is supported with the cast and right technicians, it might save the day and that happens with Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Soldren.

As each and every film of Vijay Sethupathi happens to be a pick for the audience, ONNPS enjoys that liberty as well. The audience happens to enjoy Vijay Sethupathi’s onscreen presence. Gautham Karthik played a fun character although very illogical at times, he presents it in his manner along with Daniel Annie Pope who fits the role perfectly. As said there were times to giggle and very less to think over the script, with lame excuses on the presentation that keeps the viewers wandered.

Vijay Sethupathi as Yeman is the head of tribe in YemaSingapuram – Andhra Pradesh. He is a harmless thief along with his friends who travel from his town to Tamilnadu and he meets Niharika. Breaking even their village tradition of not doing any harm to kids and women, Vijay Sethupathi sees her photo in a house and plans to kidnap her at the first sight. Why he wants to kidnap her and what connects them both is the platform for the flashback.

Meanwhile Gautham happens to meet Niharika, his college junior and befriends her, eventually starts to love each other. Daniel who enjoys a great run time along with Gautham happens to be the timer for the giggles and he even supports the leads role at the fullest. When Vijay Sethupathi kidnaps Niharika and takes her to his native tribe Gautham and Daniel follow them to save her. Did Gautham succeed and how he connects himself with the tribe puts the audience right back for the second half.

On the technical front, the movie is covered with familiar cast and the tribe, the location happens to be an apt for the script, the outfits and looks were well supported by the costume designers and Vijay Sethupathi surprises with his avatars. The art and cinematography go hand in hand to make the script look lavish and gentle. The BGM is up and the songs are middling, Overall Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Soldren is fun filled and the script needed a patch for sure but very gently managed by the director with the cast.
