Kaaviya Thalaivan release date announced as November 14th; censored U

We earlier reported here that Vasantha Balan’s Kaaviya Thalaivan is eyeing for release on November 14th. Since the big-budget films like Shankar’s I, Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain and Dhanush’s Anegan are uncertain about their releases, the makers of Kaaviya Thalaivan have decided to release the film on November 14th. The film is censored with a clean U certificate. Overseas distributor ATMUS Entertainment has confirmed the news last night. The trailer which was released on the eve of Diwali received good response from the netizens.

Kaaviya Thalaivan is a film on drama and theatre artistes in the early 20th century. The story revolves around Siddharth and Prithviraj’s rivalry in the field. Siddharth plays the lead role of Thalaivankottai Kaliappa Bhagavathar while Prithviraj plays his competitor, Melachivilberi Gomathi Nayagam Pillai. It also has Nassar, Vedhika and Anaika Soti in important roles.
