Kamal Haasan, who has always been vocal in his support to Jallikattu, the traditional sport of Tamils, jokingly called for a ban on biriyani if animal lovers think bulls are getting injured. “If you want to ban Jallikattu, ban biriyani. I’m a Tamilian. I love this sport. I’m one of the very few actors who can claim to have played the sport,” said Kamal Haasan.

“Jallikattu is not about winning the competition. It’s about embracing the bull. It’s about standing with the bull. Jallikattu says so much about us. It’s part of our culture,” Kamal Haasan added.

On the professional front, Kamal Haasan will soon resume the shooting of his tri-lingual comedy Sabaash Naidu
