“I wanted to celebrate my contemporary Sivakarthikeyan,” says Vijay Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi, who is always known for his candid speeches, left everyone in awe at the press meet of Rekka when he said he wanted to celebrate his contemporary Sivakarthikeyan. Vijay Sethupathi has imitated Sivakarthikeyan’s popular Maan Karate pose in the film’s trailer, which has grabbed the attention of everyone.

“It was the opening song shot in a theater. My director Rathina Siva told me the situation and gave me options to keep the banners of actors like Sivaji Ganesh, MGR, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith and Vijay etc. I told him I’ll celebrate Sivakarthikeyan. I wanted to celebrate my contemporary, who is an inspiration to me too. Even though we share good friendship off screen, people have been writing rubbish stories to create competition between us. This celebration reiterates our friendship,” said Vijay Sethupathi.
