25 Years Of Vikram: A walk through the years!

Vikram, who completes 25 years in the industry today, is one of the supremely talented actors Tamil cinema has ever seen. Fondly called as Kenny, he has always been forthright and candid in his interviews. His transformation from being a model to dubbing artist to a national award winning actor now in Kollywood is phenomenal and awe-inspiring. Most importantly, his was a career marked by dedication and tenacity, not nepotism. He has struggled a lot to have attained this position in Tamil cinema where he is widely respected by filmmakers, critics and audiences alike. Not everyone holds this unique trait of being loved-by-all. Kenny, surely, is an exception.

Be it a career-defining Sethu or a testosterone fueled muscular mass hero in Dhool or the versatile actor in Anniyan, he has re-incarnated himself in every role he played with effortless acting at display. Amidst a lot of favorite roles to choose from, the actor received his first National Award for Best Acting for his role as a mortician in Pithamagan directed by his guru Bala. If one needs to pick a benchmark for sincerity in acting, Vikram could be a safe option, only after Kamal Haasan. This was proved immensely in his last outing where he left everyone astonished with his performance as Koonan.
