Kerala net – 5.5 crores.
Karnataka net – 4.1 crores.
North American gross – 900K $ (US gross of 632K $, 4.2 crores) – A new opening (also lifetime) record for Vijay.
Australia gross – 305,807 A$ (1.57 crores) – A new opening record for Tamil cinema beating ‘I’ and also a lifetime record for Vijay.

France – 15,669 entries – A new opening record for Tamil cinema.
Theri has to continue this momentum in the coming days and weeks as it has been sold at exorbitant rates to buyers. The overseas prospects look very safe and promising while in South India, the film needs to travel a long distance. But the beginning has been very solid.
