August Cinema acquires 2.0 Kerala theatrical rights for a record price
August Cinema has acquired the Kerala theatrical rights of Rajinikanth’s 2.0 for a whopping price. The movie has surpassed Baahubali 2 and Mersal to emerge as the highest non-Malayalam film with a pre-release business of Rs. 16 crores approximately.
Directed by Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions, 2.0 has Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. The movie has music composed by AR Rahman and is slated to hit screens worldwide on April 27th.
